Calculator inputs

RentSplit calculator inputs are used to show results in your browser. The current application code does not send calculator inputs to a RentSplit database and does not create a saved history.

Site operation data

Like most websites, hosting providers may process standard technical logs such as requested URLs, user agent information, IP-derived routing data, and timestamps for security, debugging, and delivery.

Google Search Console may be used by the site owner to understand aggregate search visibility and crawl status. Search Console does not require visitors to create an account on RentSplit.

Optional Google Analytics 4

If you choose Allow analytics, RentSplit loads Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate page use and whether calculator features are useful. Google Analytics may use cookies or similar identifiers for this measurement. Analytics storage is denied by default, and the Google tag is not loaded until you allow it.

RentSplit sends only bounded event details such as calculator type, selected split method, and participant count. It does not send names, email addresses, rent or income amounts, room labels, free text, saved calculator data, share-link fragments, or URL query parameters to Google Analytics.

Advertising storage, ad user data, ad personalization, Google Signals, and advertising targeting remain disabled. Google Analytics is not used to decide a rent split or personalize calculator results.

Your analytics choice

You can decline analytics when the choice panel first appears. You can later review, allow, or withdraw your choice using Cookie choices at the bottom of any page. Your selection is saved in this browser. If you withdraw consent, RentSplit updates analytics storage to denied and removes accessible Google Analytics cookies from this site.

Essential calculator functions do not depend on analytics consent. If this browser blocks local preference storage, the panel explains that the choice applies only to the open page.
